I wish I would have read the reviews before giving money. Every bad review is absolutely accurate. I saw the Facebook ad and messaged Faith and she had Alex call me to sign up at 9pm. The price was higher than Faith quoted then he sprung a $25 bullshit fee last minute. I had my boat and trailer with me to put in the unit so I asked how long do I have access and was told til 10pm. I was 5 minutes away so I went to put my boat in my unit and opened the door to find it wasnt emptied or cleaned. Someone had to be living in it from all the food and garbage left. I spent 2 hrs cleaning it out and they locked the gate on me knowing I was there even when I messaged Faith an hour before letting her know. No one answered my calls. The electrical outlets falling apart, piles of trash everywhere, glass and nails in front of the units. Had to call Uber to get home because no one told me the gates would lock. Next day told Faith I had to empty the unit then was locked in because the unit wasnt emptied and she didnt give a shit. DO NOT RENT HERE. ITS A MONEY GRAB FOR FAITH THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THE PLACE AND DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. (2nd part)- This was the last straw, they advertised run your business in our workshops so I run a mobile mechanic service locally and needed a home base for repairing customer's vehicles. I parked one of my best customer's truck in front of my bay door that I rent for my business to do head gaskets on and thought it would be safe behind the gate that they advertise about how secure and safe their property is and came back to do the work and the truck was gone. A1 was told to tow it at 4am in the morning. Alex, who never is around tried lieing by saying its the Pinellas county fire department that towed it when I spoke to the guy at A1 in person and he said State Storage told them to tow it. No one called me or messaged me to let me know. Not Alex or Faith and it accrued $600 in fraudulent charges that I had to pay to get my customers vehicle back. They have no problem sending messages out reminding that rent is coming up 5 days in advance but cant message me to avoid being towed which it was behind the locked gate in front of my bay door that I pay for and shouldn't have been towed. This place is the worst run place ive ever seen. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. I WAS THERE ONE MONTH AND COST ME $700 ON TOP OF THE RENT WHICH THEY HAVENT REIMBURSED ME. THERE ARE ZERO NO PARKING SIGNS AND ZERO EXTRA PARKING SPACES OUTSIDE THE GATE. A1 TOWING HAS THE OK FROM FAITH TO TOW ANY CAR FROM 10pm TO 6am WHICH I HAD NO IDEA AS A NEW RENTER. LITERALLY RIGHT DOWN THE STREET IS A MUCH BETTER PLACE TO RENT A WORKSHOP ON BELCHER. STAY AWAY FROM STATE STORAGE YOU WILL REGRET IT. THESE REVIEWS ARE ACCURATE AS ACCURATE CAN BE.

Great place for anyone looking to use a facility for storage or workshops. These units are budget friendly and good for first time worshop renters as well. The staff is always on call for me when I need them and help with problems promptly. The staff is personable so if you work with them, they'll work with you. They also have maintained the same staff members for as long as I've been there so they are dedicated, Lucas, Alex and the owner. As far as I'm concerned they are accomidating to customers, so I've been renting here for about 6 years happily for a reason and have no plans of leaving any time soon.

I have been renting from State Storage Workshops for a couple years now and from the sign up process to pick my unit to downsizing to a smaller unit was fast and easy and the customer service we received was outstanding. I have not had any issues with the safety of my items or problems with other tenants. I have actually gained some friendships to help with other projects I have been working on. I definitely plan on renting for a long time to come.

The only reason that I kept this more than a month was because of the location ..it's close to my house. It's way overpriced, the bathroom is disgustung, nobody takes care of it and the "Security" gates are constantly broken. I moved. I would not recommend this to anyone.

There are better options for storage / workshop spaces. Gates broken on and off. Nails and broken glass all over the place, I had to replace my tires multiple times. Biggest complaint was the bathrooms - they are an absolute nightmare. Not well kept overall. We are glad we found a cleaner facility down the road.
