Florida Discount Self Storage

I mean I just signed up today but I do have to say that the customer service is phenomenal and the facility seems perfect for what I need.

I am a retired Marine and relocated to the Winter Garden, FL area in JULY 2023 as we have two daughters and three grandchildren who live nearby. We needed self storage and considered Florida Self Storage in the 34787. Jeremy was professional and accommodating as he walk us through the rental agreement. Later we went to visit other family in AZ and CA and were contacted by the Claremont police department who informed me that my enclosed cargo trailer was broken into along with 8 other units. We can’t stop all thieves as most all security (chains, locks, and doors) can all be breached. However, this installation does have security cameras so they were able to provide the video to the police. Hopefully 🤞 they catch the culprits. They cut the chains and used a grinder to cut through my locked handle. Fortunately, my daughter and her husband were able to step up and assist with the police report, insurance, and repair. Jeremy also assisted me with transferring to a different spot on the facility. Thanks again Jeremy! For the folks that have negative reviews, which you a certainly entitled to, I recommend being kind and considerate to others and reading the contracts you sign so you will have better life experiences. I have never heard of being treated this way. My husband rented a unit since May with no issues. Post-hurricane Ian it has been reported that the door would not close properly or locked because of faulty. I will include several pictures to show the problem in this post. After many repeated requests to fixed the door it was finally fixed this week. Unfortunately the code that was put in for the door was not my husband's code. Has been reported this issue and when he went to the front to speak with the manager he was greeted with verbal abuse and foul language. After walking away he was then presented with papers to vacate in 7 days. I am appalled that this abusive behavior and treatment is allowed. My husband and I both called the area manager Elaine who could only tell us she has heard the same from many other renters but that there is nothing she can do. Our next step is to file with the better Business Bureau.

I rented a 10' X 15' climate controlled unit from Florida Discount Storage located on Hartwood Marsh Road. I have experienced renting units from other companies in DE & VA and I must say my overall experience at this facility has been the best. Everything from the parking lot, office, building, and my unit are well maintained! Clean & brightly lit! They provided a lock for my unit as part of today's transaction as well. The manager, Jeremy, was very kind and helpful w/the process involving paperwork, payment, etc. I'm not sure how long we will need this unit, but I do feel confident that it will be a positive experience, that my belongings will be safe there, and that if I need anything at all they will be extremely helpful.

Great place good price, clean and safe. Units are in excellent shape. Access is also a plus and wheelie-rollie carts to help transport from the car is a huge bonus. Happy to store stuff here.
